Pride and Prejudice

Photo from International Movie Database Film: Pride and Prejudice   Directors: Joe Wright  Length: 2h 7m Genre: Romance/Comedy Rating: Parental Guidance Released: Nov. 11, 2005      Hey Friends!       This week I will be writing about one of my favorite films, Pride and Prejudice. I first watched this film maybe eight years ago and it quickly became one of my favorites. I will also note that Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book of all time, not just my favorite classic novel.       This is a film where you kind of know what’s going to happen before it happens. Yet, that doesn’t make the story less enjoyable. It’s a story that can never get old no matter if it’s the film or the book. This was a film that I thought had a good film adaptation. What I will say is the famous line “You have bewitched me body and soul,” is not in my edition of the book. I can’t find it. I’ve Googled the page number, the chapt...

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Iron Man

Photo from Internet Movie Poster Awards    How fun is this!      Alright everyone, today is not just a film, but a film series. That’s correct! Today we are discussing Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3. We won’t be discussing them in separate sections, but I will talk about what I have noticed over the span of the three films collectively. So, recently my partner and I have taken on the task of watching all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films because I haven’t seen many of them. We will be watching these in chronological order; in order of when they happened in the universe, not in order of which they were released. We just finished the eighth film so remember my judgment is passed only after watching maybe 12 films. However, this means we have watched all of the Iron Man films. For some reason, Iron Man has been on my mind for about a week.       Fun fact, when I was a kid, Iron Man was my favorite even though I had not seen the fi...

Don't Move: A Netflix Original Film

Photo from Internet Movie Poster Awards Film: Don’t Move Directors: Adam Schindler and Brian Netto  Length: 1h 32m Genre: Horror/Thriller Rating: Restricted Released: Oct. 25, 2024 Hey Hey Hey!        This week I watched a film called Don’t Move. I had heard of this film through TikTok when I saw some clips of the film. Fortunately, the clips didn’t spoil anything. All I knew was that it is a mystery/thriller movie starring Finn Wittrock and Kelsey Asbille. I have previously watched American Horror Story where Wittrock is featured, so I was already fond of him. I have seen a couple scenes and commercials for the show Yellowstone, which features Kelsey Asbille. I can’t say I am a fan of hers, but I do like her acting.       To be honest, when I  searched the film on Google and read the overview; I realized it is exactly as it reads. I won’t say it was a bad movie, but I will say it was a little bit predictable with an almost common storyl...
