Chu Length: 2h 40m Genre: Musical/Fantasy Rating: PG Released: Nov. 22, 2024      I can’t believe it’s already December!      The film of today's conversation is Wicked: Part 1. Like many others, I thoroughly enjoyed the film and have now watched it a couple times. Admittedly, I haven't seen the Broadway production or read the book. I have seen The Wizard of Oz, but I haven't watched it enough to be able to connect the two films on my own.       This film was highly anticipated by myself, but I believe by many others as well. I didn’t watch any media that would tell me what happened in the film regarding the plot, so most of the videos I watched before seeing the film were interviews. I don't like seeing anything that could give parts of the film away before actually watching it because I think it ruins the in-theater experience of seeing it for the first time....

I feel the need to mention that yes, I have watched the first one and yes, I do think it is important to watch the first film before watching the sequel. If you have watched the first one; I do recommend rewatching the first one just to refresh your memory but I will say it isn’t necessary. I haven’t heard many people talking about this film since it came out so I don’t know of anyone else’s opinions.       I’ll be honest, going into the theater I was worried that the film wouldn’t be a good sequel.
